Sarn Helen Running Trail - Short

About Sarn Helen Running Trail - Short

Forestry Commission Wales first waymarked running trails, planned with the assistance of the local Meirionnydd Running Club, following quiet forest tracks and footpaths (sometimes muddy!). The route climbs gently to the Cefndeuddwr ridge and contours round to return along the Sarn Helen, an ancient Roman road.

Go-Ape hire wires course, coming to Coed y Brenin Easter 2010 - see link on the right of the page - bookings being taken now.

How to get there:

Sarn Helen Running Trail - Short can be started from Coed y Brenin Visitor Centre in Coed y Brenin. Dolgellau, Porthmadog, Bala, Barmouth, Blaenau Ffestiniog, and Machynlleth are the nearest towns or villages.

East off the A470, 8 miles North of Dolgellau just North of Ganllwyd, South of Trawsfynydd. Follow the brown tourist signs.
