About Beast of Brenin

The "Beginning of the end" single track will be closed for several weeks due to major repair work being carried out. A Diversion from the Bailey bridge back to the visitor centre on the return leg will be in place. Please follow all signage.

Over the next few weeks contractors will be on MtB trails carrying out maintenance work. Please look out for 'men at work' signs on the single tracks and be prepared to dismount.

Forest road diversion on Beast/Dragons Back after "Beefy" single track due to work in the Friog quarry. Please follow all signage. Be aware of frequent heavy wagons on the forest road.

A combination of the Dragons Back and MBR routes, giving a long gruelling challenge using all of the best bits of the singletrack sections. Go prepared with adequate fluids, clothing and bike spares.

How to get there:

Beast of Brenin can be started from Coed y Brenin Visitor Centre in Coed y Brenin. Dolgellau, Porthmadog, Bala, Barmouth, and Machynlleth are the nearest towns or villages.

East off the A470, 8 miles North of Dolgellau just North of Ganllwyd, South of Trawsfynydd. Follow the brown tourist signs.

Epicly awesome. Don't bother with the fireroad climb after the cafe. Just stay on the tarmac and head on up.

brilliant what a trail can't wait to do it again but the climb is a killer but well worth it for the single track on way down good brakes are a must

Awesome ride through some fantastic countryside, but not for the faint hearted or unfit!
