About Beast of Brenin
Diversion
1. A small diversion is in operation between the tarmac road and start of the "Hermon" single track. This is due to harvesting work. No single track is lost.
Trails affected are:
- Dragons Back
- Beast
A combination of the Dragons Back and MBR routes, giving a long gruelling challenge.
Including 'Falseteeth' which has now been given a makeover and been brought right up to date with cutting edge design and quality construction. Now featuring the 'Cavity', the largest technical trail feature at Coed Y Brenin.
This route promises to be both mentally and physically demanding and should not be attempted unless fitness and skill levels allow. Go prepared with adequate fluids, food, clothing and bike spares. Expect to come back tired, muddy and exhilerated!
How to get there:
Beast of Brenin can be started from Coed y Brenin Visitor Centre in Coed y Brenin. Dolgellau, Porthmadog, Bala, Barmouth, Blaenau Ffestiniog, and Machynlleth are the nearest towns or villages.
