Geirionydd to Crafnant
Geirionydd Lake lies serene between forested hills and natural reed bed fringes. Broad zigzags of forest track lead up to a final rocky ascent. An avenue of trees takes us across the hill, and a longer rocky descent winds through close forest to where rocky cliffs guard the head of Crafnant lake. A short distance to the right along the road, there is a cafe- open in the summer. Returning by the same route, the climb is steeper and longer, but the descent rewards us with a fine open view over Geirionydd Valley.
