Llyn Crafnant Circuit

The river Crafnant rushes down from the lake at the start of this walk and a few yards further on there is one of the most breathtaking views in all Snowdonia. Looking from the foot of Llyn Crafnant towards the singular mountainscape of Crimpiau and Creigiau Gleision. Ideal in all seasons this family walk begins with a long level forest track, becoming more undulating as we approach the towering cliff of Craig Lwyd. After a short rocky descent to level, the views in all directions are delightful and an easy path takes us round the head of the lake. Returning we pass the Crafnant Cafe, which is open in summer.

How to get there:

Llyn Crafnant Circuit can be started from Llyn Crafnant in Gwydyr. Trefriw is the nearest town or village.
