Conwy Valley View Walk

About Conwy Valley View Walk

From the car-park in front of Hafna Mine ruins, follow the forest road uphill through a mixture of spruce, pine and broadleaved woodland. After about 800m an area of younger crop is reached, with views across to the opposite side of the river Conway. Take a brief diversion here, along the path to the right,to a viewpoint which gives a stunning vista down the Conwy Vally to the Great Orme. Return to the main track, and follow this right for a short distance to the junction. Follow the forest road, through a mixed conifer forest, and pass a house in the trees to the left. Shortly after the trail turns off the road and descends to Hafna Mine. Take care on the steep steps which lead down through the minebuildings and return to the car park. The history of the mine is described on the interpretation panels alongside the trail.
