About Stank Glen
Please follow diversion signage where indicated. (Updated 14th May 2012)
The Stank Glen footpath follows an old forest road next to the forest cabins, and then rises along the side of the Stank Burn. This part of the path is quite steep and has a number of steps. It also has a view point which offers a spectacular view of one of the Stank Burn waterfalls - especially when the river is in spate.
The trail then climbs into Stank Glen where it completes a loop before following the Ben Ledi hill path down to the cycle path for the last leg of the return to the cabins.
How to get there:
Stank Glen can be started from Strathyre Cabins in Strathyre Forest which is part of Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Callander is the nearest town or village.
There is no vehicle access to this point.
From Callander, drive along the A84, turn off at the sign for Strathyre cabins, cross the bridge and park in the small car park on your left.
Walk along the NCN7 route towards the cabins.
