Coireachrombie

(Average user rating5 unrated 4.5/5)

About Coireachrombie

The trail follows the cycle path beside Loch Lubnaig before climbing along a forest road into Strathyre Forest. As you climb, there are superb views along Loch Lubnaig towards Strathyre, and in the other direction towards Stirling.

Still on forest roads, the route starts to descend as you approach and cross the Ben Ledi hill path. Stay on the forest road as you meander downhill, and once again join the cycle path to return to the cabins.

How to get there:

Coireachrombie can be started from Strathyre Cabins in Strathyre Forest which is part of Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Callander is the nearest town or village.

There is no vehicle access to this point.

From Callander, drive along the A84, turn off at the sign for Strathyre cabins, cross the bridge and park in the small car park on your left.

Walk along the NCN7 route towards the cabins.

Well waymarked trail with lovely views of the Loch after your gentle climb up hill. Some wonderfully dramatic scenery and panoramic views to take in throughout the walk. Worth a wander!
