Viewpoint walk

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Viewpoint walk

The path takes you to a viewpoint that offers views of Ben Lomond, Craigmore and Aberfoyle. In the distance you can also see the hill ranges of the Menteith, Ochil, Gargunnock, Fintry and the Fells of Campsie. The path then re-joins the forest road and drops down to the loch shore as it leads you back to the car park.

The path begins on a forest road, and then continues on a narrower, but well built track, which may have some loose surface material in places.

How to get there:

Viewpoint walk can be started from Milton in Loch Ard Forest which is part of Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Aberfoyle is the nearest town or village.

Follow the B829 west from Aberfoyle for a mile and a half. Turn left over the River Forth and onto the forest road.

Follow the signs to a new car park just under a mile into the forest. Additional parking for horseboxes is provided 200 metres further on.
