About Lochan Spling
From the car park, the path crosses the Duchray Water and follows a circular route around Lochan Spling. There is an option to take a short diversion to a viewpoint above the loch before completing the loch-side walk, and then returning to the car park again by the way of the bridge across the Duchary water. Viewpoint currently closed to enable essential path maintenance to be carried out, please follow diversion signage.
The trail follows a well-compacted path, which may have some loose surface material in places.
