Craigievern (closed)

Please note this trail is currently closed to allow clearance of windblown trees.

Although this trail is not waymarked, for the most part the Craigievern trail follows forest roads and the route initially takes you through an area of conifer forest. It is ideally suited to horses. Along the way there are several areas where the trees have been removed and there are good views of the Lomond Hills, The Campsie Fells and the Kilpatrick Hills.

From the junction before the loop at the end of the trail, the path is quite grassy, overgrown and uneven in places. One leg of the loop is not on a constructed path and, depending on weather conditions, could be wet underfoot.
