Woodland Walk

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Woodland Walk

From the car park the route takes you into Rowardennan Forest. Through young and old conifer and broadleaf forest the trail climbs to its highest point where you can enjoy fine views of Loch Lomond and the surrounding hills. The path then descends initially through oak woodland then through mature larch trees, before returning to the car park.

The path has a firm surface which may have some loose material in places.

How to get there:

Woodland Walk can be started from Sallochy car park in East Loch Lomond Woodland which is part of Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Drymen is the nearest town or village.

From Stirling, follow the A811 to Drymen and then from Glasgow, take the A809.

From Drymen take the B837 for east Loch Lomond and Rowardennan. Sallochy car park is approximately nine miles along this road.
