About Wester Sallochy

From the car park, the path crosses the road into Rowardennan Forest. This relatively short trail which has a narrow but firm path surface leads you through mature forest to the ruins of Wester Sallochy.

Beyond the ruins, the path climbs on for a short distance before descending through mixed woodland on its return to the car park.

How to get there:

Wester Sallochy can be started from Sallochy car park in East Loch Lomond Woodland which is part of Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Drymen is the nearest town or village.

From Stirling, follow the A811 to Drymen and then from Glasgow, take the A809.

From Drymen take the B837 for east Loch Lomond and Rowardennan. Sallochy car park is approximately nine miles along this road.
