Follow the red and blue way-markers. Look out for the oak, birch and sallow regenerating around the abandoned ruins of Wester Sallochy. Keep following the red waymarkers up to Dun Maoil - the views over the loch are well worth the climb!
How to get there:
Sallochy Trail can be started from Sallochy car park in East Loch Lomond Woodland which is part of Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Drymen is the nearest town or village.
From Stirling, follow the A811 to Drymen and then from Glasgow, take the A809.
From Drymen take the B837 for east Loch Lomond and Rowardennan. Sallochy car park is approximately nine miles along this road.
