About Quality Row

A circular trail that takes you through the site of the Wilsontown Ironworks (1779 - 1842).

The trail is named after one of the miners rows here and the path used to be the main road to these houses and an old tramway.

How to get there:

Quality Row can be started from Wilsontown Ironworks entrance in Heathland Forest which is part of Heathland Forest. Forth is the nearest town or village.

From the A706 take the B7016 signposted Wilsontown. Go straight ahead at the bend, and park in The Glen car park on the right-hand side.

Walk along the side of the public road past the Moose (Mousewater), being careful of traffic, and enter the forest at the bend in the road where you can see that there used to be a railway bridge.
