Three Brethren Trail
 

This is the longest walk in Yair forest taking you up to the Three Brethren cairns which were built in the 1500s by the lairds of Yair, Selkirk and Philiphaugh to mark the boundary of their land.

How to get there:

Three Brethren Trail can be started from Lindinney Car Park in Yair which is part of Forests of the Scottish Borders. Selkirk / Galashiels is the nearest town or village.

This car park is adjacent to the A707, approximately four miles north of Selkirk and three miles east of the A72 Galashiels to Walkerburn road.
