About Caddrouns Blue

Ideal for first timers, families and novices, the Caddrouns route is short and sweet with excellent views.

Take in the stunning views across the Liddel Valley and beyond. The final section is a gentle downhill ride, running along side the Priesthill Burn

The ponds make an ideal spot for some wildlife watching, a picnic or even a quick snooze!

How to get there:

Caddrouns Blue can be started from Dykecrofts Car Park in Newcastleton Forest which is part of Forests of the Scottish Borders. Newcastleton is the nearest town or village.

From Canonbie or Bonchester Bridge take the B6357, then take the unclassified road at the southern end of Newcastleton village and follow the signs for Dykecrofts.
