About Johnny's Walk

Johnny's Walk is a longer trail following the Red Squirrel Walk and then climbing up the hill - where there are superb views across the ancient woodland of Cragbank.

A panel on the walk tells something of the ancient woodlands history.

How to get there:

Johnny's Walk can be started from Hell's Hole in Hyndlee Forest which is part of Forests of the Scottish Borders. Hawick and Bonchester Bridge & Newcastleton are the nearest towns or villages.

From Hawick, head to Bonchester Bridge on the A6088. Turn right on to the B6357 south towards Newcastleton for approximately two miles.

Hells Hole is the first access point to Hyndlee and is on the right hand side.
