About Policy Wood

The Policy Wood trail meanders through the trees, some of them are almost 100 years old. See how many species you can identify.

Enjoy the waterfall and the views.

How to get there:

Policy Wood can be started from Craik Car Park in Craik which is part of Forests of the Scottish Borders. Hawick is the nearest town or village.

From Hawick, follow the A7 towards Carlisle.

At Martins Bridge, turn onto the B711 and follow this road until you come to Roberton, which is a very small village and school. Just beyond the school, turn down to the left and then follow the unclassified single track road. Craik Forest is well sign posted.
