Craigvinean Mountain Bike Trail

The route is a long cycle sticking mostly to forest roads or to easy, undemanding off-road tracks. The route takes you from the Hermitage car park to the north end of Craigvinean and back with some great views out across the River Tay.The gradients are occasionally steep and sustained. Follow blue bands on black poles- do not follow black poles with no bands.

How to get there:

Craigvinean Mountain Bike Trail can be started from Hermitage Brae in Craigvinean which is part of Tay Forest Park. Dunkeld is the nearest town or village.

1 mile north of Dunkeld on A9, take left exit to Hermitage then first right (before the NTS car park) up the brae for half a mile to car park in quarry on right.
