About King's Cave Forest Trail
A circular trail that passes a hut circle and gives excellent views over Machrie and the northern mountains.
At the coast there are wonderful views over the Kilbrannan Sound to Kintyre. The path turns down a steep rocky cleft at the coast and follows the raised beach to the King's Cave. Just past the caves the path rises again into the woodland and returns to the car park.
How to get there:
Travel north from Blackwaterfoot along the A841 for approximately 1.5 miles, the King's Cave car park is signposted on the left.
