Red Walk

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Red Walk

Turning left at the top of the steps from the car park, the lower path of this gentle trail runs alongside beautiful Morayshire farmland and under a canopy of majestic Douglas fir.  Returning back along the top path will present you with clear views across the Laich of Moray. If you are feeling energetic, join the blue trail and maybe event the green on up the hill for more great views out to the Moray Firth.

  • Check before you go - for details of trail closures, diversions and changes to listed events see the updates page.

How to get there:

Red Walk can be started from Monaughty in Forests of Moray and Aberdeenshire. Elgin and Miltonduff are the nearest towns or villages.

From Elgin take the B9010 Dallas road for one mile, then the Pluscarden minor road for a further 2.5 miles, where the Torrieston car park is on the right.

From Forres, take the B9010 Rafford/Dallas road for four miles, then the Pluscarden minor road. The Torreston car park is two miles beyond Pluscarden, on the left.
