About All AbilitiesTrail

Cross the road from the car park and wind your way along this circular all abilities trail. Cross the bridge and let the stresses of the day trickle away as you rest at the seat beside the gently flowing Black Burn.  Continue on round, watching out for our wide variety of woodland birds, cross the second bridge over the Black Burn then perhaps take time for a picnic at the table where the trail heads back to the car park.

  •  Check before you go - for details of trail closures, diversions and changes to listed events see the updates page.

How to get there:

All AbilitiesTrail can be started from Monaughty in Forests of Moray and Aberdeenshire. Elgin and Miltonduff are the nearest towns or villages.

From Elgin take the B9010 Dallas road for one mile, then the Pluscarden minor road for a further 2.5 miles, where the Torrieston car park is on the right.

From Forres, take the B9010 Rafford/Dallas road for four miles, then the Pluscarden minor road. The Torreston car park is two miles beyond Pluscarden, on the left.

The all abilities trail is on our 'Forests of Moray' leaflet. Unfortunately we don not have an electronic version of this yet but our Aberdeenshire team would be happy to send out a copy of the leaflet. You can contact them at Forestry Commission Scotland, Moray & Aberdeenshire Forest District, Portsoy Road, Huntly, Aberdeenshire, AB54 4SJ and at 01466 794161
