About Yellow Trail

Please note this trail is currently closed until further notice (Updated 23rd May 2012).

The first part of this walk is on forest road, allowing walkers to experience the southern part of Kirkhill forest. This area used to be owned by the Bishopric of Aberdeen, and you can still see trace of ruined crofts now hidden deep within the forest.

How to get there:

Yellow Trail can be started from Kirkhill in Forests of Moray and Aberdeenshire. Dyce, Kintore, Inverurie, Kirkton Of Skene, Garlogie, Westhill, Kingswells, Newmachar, Bucksburn, and Aberdeen are the nearest towns or villages.

This wood is on the north side of the A96, between the Dyce roundabout and the Blackburn roundabout.

From Inverurie or Kintore on the A96, Kirkhill is sign posted on your left, approximately 2.5 km after the Blackburn roundabout.

Nice walk in location very close to Aberdeen. There are many other walk ways and paths off the main track so you cna easily make yoru own route if you have a good sense of direction.
