Raven's Rock

Ravens Rock Gorge is a magical place and one of our best kept secrets. This walk skirts the edge of the spectacular Allt Mor (big burn) as it runs through a gorge under the canopy of majestic old silver fir, spruce and beech. A series of suspended boardwalks take the walk to viewpoints over the gorge and surrounding forest. As far as we know ravens may still live in the gorge. This forest is also full of other interesting species of wildlife. A secluded picnic area nestles at the foot of a large bank in a bend in the burn.

How to get there:

Raven's Rock can be started from Raven's Rock Car Park in Raven's Rock which is part of Sutherland. Rosehall is the nearest town or village.

Take A839 West of Lairg for about 6 miles. Turn left and follow FE signs for the walk.
