Borgie Cycle Route

This route heads south into the depths of Borgie Forest. From the end of the forest road the route returns the same way. There are fine views over to Ben Stumanah and Ben Loyal. Borgie Forest is full of archaeological features, all of which lie close to the cycle route. The yellow route follows the West forest road joining back onto the East road further into the forest. In places the road overlooks the River Borgie - famous for its salmon fishing. The yellow route is 11 miles

How to get there:

Borgie Cycle Route can be started from Borgie Glen Car Park in Borgie which is part of Sutherland. Bettyhill is the nearest town or village.

The car park is situated down a forest road South of the A836, 7 miles West of Bettyhill. Proceed down the forest road for about 1 mile from the A836 following the Borgie Glen and the car park signs. From the car park you can follow waymarked routes for cycling, walking or horse riding.
