Burma Road

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Burma Road

This circular walk takes you through the mature conifers of Inverarish Forest, then leads you onto moorland, providing opportunities to see red deer and birds of prey.

It also passes the ruined broch of Dun Borodale and other less obvious archaeological sites of ruined settlements.

How to get there:

Burma Road can be started from Inverarish Forest Carpark in Inverarish which is part of Raasay Forest. Inverarish, Brochel, Isle Of Skye, and Sconser are the nearest towns or villages.

From the Raasay ferry terminal, follow the road to Inverarish. Go straight through the village, then turn left and immediately right. Park beside the Raasay Forest sign.
