Aros Walk

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Aros Walk

The Aros Walk criss-crosses uphill through planted conifer trees. There are several different alternative loops that can be taken.

At the very top of the footpath there is a picnic site which has great views of Portree and across the sea to Applecross.

The 'Alphabet Trail' is a short path, along which a different tree species for each letter in the Gaelic alphabet is planted.

How to get there:

Aros Walk can be started from The Aros Centre in Portree. Portree, Bracadale, Dunvegan, Carbost, and Isle of Skye are the nearest towns or villages.

The Aros Centre is just south of Portree on the A850 Kyleakin to Portree road.

There is a twice daily bus service between Inverness and Portree.
