Tain Hill Walk

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Tain Hill Walk

Don't be put off by the name. The climb of 190 feet from the car park to the magnificent viewpoint at Pulpit Rock is well worth it. From here there is an extensive view over the outer Dornoch Firth and Tarbat Ness.

This pleasant walk swings round the edge of an old quarry before passing through Scots Pine woodland.

How to get there:

Tain Hill Walk can be started from Tain Hill in Tain Hill which is part of Easter Ross. Tain is the nearest town or village.

Follow the Forest Walk signs from the A9 Tain bypass up Jubilee Drive (south) for about one mile to the car park, which is at the end of the tarred road.
