Wildlife
Mammals: If you're lucky you may spot a red squirrel during your walk. The forest provides food and shelter for these beautiful animals. We have information about Red squirrel
Birds: Don't forget to visit Plantain Loch where a purpose built jetty gets all users to the water's edge. The water lillies are an amazing site in July, and herons and grebes are amongst the birds that you may spot. Check the RSPB website for information on bird ID (link in right hand column).
Insects and reptiles: Why not come to one of our family wildlife events to find out more about minibeasts and other creatures of the woods? See link in right hand column.
