About Glentrool Horse Riding

In Galloway Forest Park there is open access for horse riders on all the forest roads. The park gives ideal riding for a couple of hours, a day or even a weekend outing. Get away from road traffic and enjoy the magnificent scenery of south west Scotland. Plan your own journey as the roads are not waymarked.

How to get there:

Glentrool Horse Riding can be started from Glentrool Visitor Centre in Galloway Forest Park. Newton Stewart is the nearest town or village.

From Newton Stewart take A714 signposted to Girvan for eight miles. Take right turn at Bargrennan signposted Galloway Forest Park. Take next right turn just past Glentrool village signpost to Glentrool Visitor Centre.

By Bus: 359, goes from Newton Stewart to Ayr, stopping at Glentrool Village
