About Blue Trail

The trail starts through the trees and opens out alongside the Water of Trool. In spring, a carpet of bluebells line your route back to the bridge at Glentrool Visitor Centre. In Autumn enjoy the colours as the foliage changes with the shortening days.

From Newton Stewart take A714 signposted to Girvan for eight miles. Take right turn at Bargrennan signposted Galloway Forest Park. Take next right turn just past Glentrool village signpost to Glentrool Visitor Centre.

By Bus: 359, goes from Newton Stewart to Ayr, stopping at Glentrool Village
