This trail starts from the car park and follows the forest road for some distance. The trail then turns into a mixed broadleaved and conifer wood which then opens up to afford some stunning views of the surrounding area and Loch Ken.
How to get there:
Bennan Viewpoint can be started from Bennan Wood in Galloway Forest Park. New Galloway and Laureiston are the nearest towns or villages.
From Newton Stewart
Take the A712 signposted New Galloway, from New Galloway take the A762 signposted Laurieston. The Bennan viewpoint carpark is roughly five miles from New Galloway.
