Kirroughtree Forest Drive
 

This four mile forest drive climbs gradually to meet the Queens Way. Take a little time to stop awhile and take in the stunning views and the Cairn which commemorates 50 years of Galloway Forest Park.

How to get there:

Kirroughtree Forest Drive can be started from Kirroughtree Visitor Centre in Kirroughtree which is part of Galloway Forest Park. Newton Stewart and Creetown. is the nearest town or village.

From Newton Stewart:, Take A75 signposted Dumfries for 3 miles. Turn left at Palnure signposted Kirroughtree Visitor Centre.
, From New Galloway: , Take A712 to Newton Stewart. Turn left at T-junction onto A75. Turn left at Palnure signposted Kirroughtree Visitor Centre.
, By Bus: , Service 431 from Newton Stewart to Kirkcudbright. Exit the bus at Palnure, a short walk from Kirroughtree Visitor Centre.
