Clatteringshaws Horse riding
 

In Galloway Forest Park there is open access for horse riders on all the forest roads. The Park gives ideal riding for a couple of hours, a day or even a weekend outing. Get away from road traffic and enjoy the magnificent scenery of south west Scotland. Plan your own route as the roads are not waymarked.

How to get there:

Clatteringshaws Horse riding can be started from Clatteringshaws Visitor Centre in Clatteringshaws which is part of Galloway Forest Park. New Galloway is the nearest town or village.

Contact the Recreation Ranger to make sure that access is available to all parts of the forest. The car park at Clatteringshaws Visitor Centre is not suitable for horse boxes.
