Yellow Trail

This trail is slightly longer than the white trail but again a nice gently stroll. In spring the woodland is carpeted with bluebells, and in summer the sound of the bumble bees going about their business mixed in with a myraid of butterflies, make this a delightful trail.

How to get there:

Yellow Trail can be started from Barhill Carpark in Barhill which is part of Galloway Forest Park. Kirkcudbright is the nearest town or village.

From Newton Stewart:, A75 signposted Dumfries, turn right onto the A755 just after Gatehouse of Fleet signposted Kirkcudbright. Straight on through Kirkcudbright, then turn left, up past Safeway's, straight on for half a mile then right into the carpark.
