About Corranbuie Walks

This circular route forms an extension to the Castle Walk taking you high above Tarbert and into the regenerating native broadleaved woodland.

The path climbs steeply to reach the forest road from where there are magnificent views back down Loch Fyne towards Lochgilphead. A optional extension to the main route, marked by white waymarkers, adds an extra three quarters of a mile to the walk.

How to get there:

Corranbuie Walks can be started from Tarbert Castle in Tarbert which is part of Tarbert and Skipness. Tarbert is the nearest town or village.

A small path starting across the road from the pier takes you up the hill to the castle.

Tarbert Tourist Infomation Centre can be found 100m west of the start of the walk.

There is lots of parking is available around the harbour.
