About Ardnoe cycle route
From the Loch Coille-Bharr car park this trail follows forest roads into the forest of West Knapdale to reach viewpoints looking down on the picturesque Crinan harbour.
The trail then takes you to some of the finest views on the western seaboard which encompass Islay, Jura with its famous Paps, the Gulf of Corryvreckan, Scarba, Lunga, Mull, Luing, the Craignish peninsula and many smaller islands and skerries in the Sound of Jura.
Refresh and relax
Refreshments can be found at the Tayvallich local inn or the Tayvallich coffee shop.
Eat outdoors - picnic by the Scotnish picnic site overlooking Loch Sween, before returning along the quiet public road running beside the sea loch of Caol Scotnish.
How to get there:
Ardnoe cycle route can be started from Gleann a Gealbhan in Knapdale Forest. Lochgilphead is the nearest town or village.
From Lochgilphead, follow the A816 north for two and a half miles then turn left onto B841 for Cairnbaan and Crinan.
At Bellanoch turn left onto the B8025 for Tayvallich. Druim an duin is just over two miles along this road.
From Oban, follow the A816 south to one mile beyond Kilmartin then turn right onto the B8025 taking you to Bellanoch.
Turn right at the Canal bridge at Bellanoch, then take the next left onto the road for Tayvallich for just over two miles.
