Dunardry walk

From the car park which over looks the Crinan Canal the trail follows the forest road through the mature mixed conifer and broadleaved woodland of Dunardry Face. Openings through the trees give views down to boats negotiating the canal locks. futher along the trail after passing the ruined croft a trail leads uphill to a viewpoint where there are panoramic views over Mòine Mhór National Nature Reserve, out over the mud flats of the Add Estuary and the Crinan Basin and towards the hills of Mull in the distance. Looking southwest the hills of Jura and Scarba can also be seen. Soon after reaching the tarmac road a narrow trail leads into mature Norway Spruce and Douglas Fir trees this trail rejoins the forest road a short distance from the car park.
