Fishnish to Garmony walk

A coastline walk which passes through the conifer woodland, close to the historic pier of Ceadha Leth Thorcaill where cattle used to be loaded for transport to Ardnamurchan and the long drove road to the lowlands. The views of the Sound of Mull open up as the route passes from the forest onto open land and eventually to Garmony

How to get there:

Fishnish to Garmony walk can be started from Fishnish Car Parks in Fishnish and Garmony. Craignure (4 miles) and Tobermory (18 miles) are the nearest towns or villages.

Travel NW from Craignure for around four miles on the A849 until you meet a junction signposted to Fishnish and the ferry to Lochaline (A884). There are several car parking areas in the forest down this road, the main one being closest to the ferry terminal
