Hazel Burn Walk (closed)

About Hazel Burn Walk

Please note that due to recent storm damage all trails are closed at Ardcastle. We will notify you as soon as we can when they are to re-open. Sorry for the inconvenience (as at January 2012).

This circular trail leads you down to shore of Loch Fyne to where the burn meets the sea.

This is often a good place to see rafts of eider ducks diving for shellfish. There is a picnic spot here where you can relax and enjoy the view across the loch to Cowal.

The route follows a track just above the shore before leading you through the heart of Ardcastle back to the car park.

How to get there:

Hazel Burn Walk can be started from Ardcastle Car Park in Ardcastle. Lochgair is the nearest town or village.

Ardcastle is two miles east of Lochgair or three and a half miles west of Minard along the A83.
