About Ardcastle Cycle Trail

Please note that due to recent storm damage all trails are closed at Ardcastle. We will notify you as soon as we can when they are to re-open. Sorry for the inconvenience (as at January 2012).

This easy route takes you through mixed forest to stunning views of Loch Fyne.

Stop for a picnic by the pebble beach, if you are lucky, you might see an otter searching for food along the shoreline.

How to get there:

Ardcastle Cycle Trail can be started from Ardcastle Car Park in Ardcastle. Lochgair is the nearest town or village.

Ardcastle is two miles east of Lochgair or three and a half miles west of Minard along the A83.

OS Grid Reference: NR 942 912
