Deer Hill Walk

(Average user rating5 unrated 5/5)

About Deer Hill Walk

From Port-na storm or the Network Centre this route takes you to the summit of Cnoc- nan Ghabar, where a wonderful panorama of Kintyre and views of the Kilbrannan Sound and Arran await. On clear days you can see Ben Cruachan to the north.

Look out for moorland birds amongst the heather and for golden eagles and hen harriers in the skies above.

On the hill or in the forest you may see some of the four species of deer found around Carradale.

How to get there:

Deer Hill Walk can be started from Port na storm car park in Cnoc nan Ghabar which is part of Carradale. Carradale is the nearest town or village.

Travel along the B842 from Campbeltown or Kennacraig to Carradale. Then follow the B879 towards the harbour.

Port na storm is about one mile along this road on the left.
