Alpine Walk

Follow signage to Kilmun Aboretum, a fascinating range of tree species has been laid out in trial plots. You can select any of the three well marked paths of different lengths and standards

How to get there:

Alpine Walk can be started from KILMUN CARPARK in Kilmun Aboretum which is part of Argyll Forest Park. DUNOON is the nearest town or village.

There are two equally appealling approaches to the Forest Park from Glasgow. By car ferry from Gourock to Dunoon, or by the A82 along Loch Lomond through Tarbet, entering the Park at Arrochar. You then follow signs for Kilmun.

For public transport information follow the Traveline Scotland link under the Useful sites section opposite.
