About Ardgartan To Arrochar

Follow the path through the picnic site and take the fork that leads to the road crossing. (Please be aware that this is a very busy road and pay attention to signs.) After crossing the road, the route winds gently uphill through open ground and then into the forest.

Along the way enjoy the views of Loch Long, the Cobbler (Ben Arthur) and Glen Croe. Follow the route along the forest road and enjoy the views of the loch and Arrochar with Ben Lomond in the distance, then head down to the car park at Succoth via a gently meandering cycle path.

How to get there:

Ardgartan To Arrochar can be started from Ardgartan in Ardgartan which is part of Argyll Forest Park. Arrochar is the nearest town or village.

From Glasgow, follow A82 beyond Loch Lomond to Tarbet. Then take the A83 through Arrochar towards the Rest & Be Thankful. Ardgartan Wood is on your left hand side.
