How to get there:
The Birks Walk can be started from Donview Car Park in Bennachie. Monymusk is the nearest town or village.
From Monymusk, head north on minor road towards Blairdaff. After approx. 1.5 miles, the Donview Car park and walks are sign posted off to the left. Turn left and follow the road, which runs close to river Don, to the car park.

Wildlife
Mammals: Red squirrels can be seen occasionally. Roe deer often seen in the forest clearings. We have information about Red squirrel and Roe deer
Birds: In the woods look out for great tits, coal tits, blue tit, long tail tits, chaffinch, wood warblers, chiff chaff and many more.
Wrens can often be seen on the forest floor nesting in the piles of branches.
On the open hill look out for grouse, pipits, skylarks and buzzards.
