Capercaillie walk to Back O'Bennachie Car Park
About Capercaillie walk to Back O'Bennachie Car Park
This walk partly circles Millstone Hill before following the March Burn uphill.
The wood on the east side of this burn is good habitat for capercaillie. Continue beyond the March Burn onto the Bennachie ridge and then along part of the Gordon Way. Next you climb up past Watch Craig (493m) and then down through larch to the Back O' Bennachie Car Park.
Dogs on Bennachie
Dogs and their responsible owners are always welcome on Bennachie!
Please remember, there are no dog bins on the hill so if your dog does foul on a trail please flick it into the woods for the slugs to eat! If you normally put your dog mess in a plastic bag please ensure you take the bag home, there is no-one at Bennachie employed to collect them and they take up to 70 years to rot down!
You can download a map of the Bennachie trails from the What's of Interest panel on the right of this page.
