Drumtochty to Fetteresso
This white waymarked trail takes you from Drumtochty car park along 24km of forest roads, joining the yellow waymarked Three Stones trail in Fetteresso. From there you can reach the Three Stones car park. Some of the sections of forest road are quite steep.
Bervie Loop
About 6km along the route is the Bervie Loop. It is about 8km long and returns back to the trail about 2km on towards Fetteresso.
Other Users
The route also shares the first 0.5 km with two waymarked walks. The road at this point is wide enough for everyone, but please be considerate.
Grading
This route has been graded as difficult for cyclists because of the remoteness of the route - it is a long way to push your bike back if you get a puncture!

How to get there:
Drumtochty to Fetteresso can be started from Drumtochty Car Park in North Drumtochty which is part of Fetteresso Forest. Auchenblae, Glenbervie, Drumlithie, Stonehaven, Fettercairn, Laurencekirk, and Strachan are the nearest towns or villages.
If coming from Deeside, take the old Cairn O'Mount Road (B974) at Strachan, follow this road over the Cairn O'Mount, and take unclassified road to the left at the Clatterin Brig (opposite the cafe)., Follow this road for roughly 5 km and the car park is sign posted on your left.
