Shooting Greens to Scolty Trail
This waymarked route is on good quality forest roads all the way. You can go from Shooting Greens through the forest to Scolty Car Park at the east end of Blackhall, or you can do a slightly longer circular loop that brings you back to Shooting Greens.
There are excellent views over Deeside and Feuchside and to the hills beyond.
Who is it for?
This longer route is suitable for cyclists, horse riders, walkers and runners. Some of the slopes may be too long for younger children to cycle, but there are only a few really steep sections.
Part of the forest trail is also a waymarked walk. We ask users to show consideration for each other, and to remember that this is a working forest and vehicles may be using the forest roads at any time.
You can download a
map of the trail from the 'what's of interest' panel on the right of this page.
