Star Watch

About Star Watch

The perfect introduction to the dark skies of the Northeast. Despite being so close to Tyneside, Chopwell Wood offers a sky that (weather permitting) can give amazing views of the planets and brighter constellations.

How to get there:

Star Watch starts at Main Car Park in Chopwell Woodland Park. High Spen, Chopwell, Rowlands Gill, Gateshead, and Newcastle are the nearest towns or villages.

Chopwell Woodland Park is signposted from High Spen village near Gateshead.
