Lady's Well (Green Route)

A short trail starting from the car park which leads to the well of the title, a rectangular pool at the centre of which is a stone cross, and at the side a statue, dedicated to St. Paulinus who supposedly baptized 3,000 Northumbrians in AD 627.

How to get there:

Lady's Well (Green Route) can be started from Holystone Car Park in Holystone which is part of Rothbury. Holystone village, Rothbury, and Newcastle are the nearest towns or villages.

Travelling west through Holystone village, the car park is situated about half a mile past the village on the right.
